We are excited to welcome Sister Golden Hair tothe Rockbox Theater.

This is all-female-fronted cover band based in Central Texas pays tribute to the harmony-rich hit songs of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Inspired by a shared love of the golden age of modern songwriting, an affinity for classic LPs, and a passion for harmony, front-women Barbara Nesbitt, Wendy Colonna and Emily Shirley are committed to creating an experience that brings audiences all the good feels of these classic, soundtrack songs.

These three ladies are a force in their own right.

Over the past 20 years, Wendy has recorded eight albums and has been called “ethereal” by the New York Times and “a gifted singer-songwriter” by the Wall Street Journal.

Barbara recently released her 5^th Album and her guitar work and songwriting have placed her in the top 5 Best Female Singer, the top 3 Best Songwriter, top 3 guitar players, and top 8 Best Country categories in the Austin Music Awards.

Emily is a solo singer/songwriter and also plays with Austin synth-pop band, The Belle Sounds. Her next single, Survivors, will be released in early November 2023.

Singer and playwright Lisa Rock has compiled a moving tribute to the music and life of Carpenter, and brings it to the stage with her 6-piece backing band. Dedicated to re-creating the true sound of The Carpenters, Rock and her band showcase some of the most memorable songs of the 70s including “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Rainy Days and Mondays,” and of course “Close to You.”

Floyd Domino is a two-time Grammy Award winner and former band member of the famed Western Swing Band, Asleep at the Wheel. He was inducted into the Texas Music Legends Hall of Fame in 2019 and now has a string of acclaimed albums and has appeared on 20 #1 singles including Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard.

Emily Gimble was named Texas State Musician of the Year 2020. She has been playing on-stage since she was seven years old. Maybe it couldn’t be helped when your dad is Dick Gimble, beloved guitarist and upright bass player, and your grandfather is Johnny Gimble, one of the most beloved fiddle players of all time.

Texas Clearwater Revival was formed in Ft Worth Texas in 2016 to honor Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, John Fogerty and CCR. Formed in 2014, Rumours (also known as Rumours ATL) has taken the U.S. by storm with their stage scorching renditions of Fleetwood Mac songs. Fans from across the nation claim that Rumours is the band to see if you are looking for an authentic recreation of live Fleetwood Mac shows.
